JOURNAL ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE

The Journal Name: African Journal of Business & development studies will be administratively headed by the Editor in Chief assisted by Associate Editor in chief. These shall work together with an Editorial Board as well as the identified Reviewers for various subjects.

Duties and Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the AJBDS is in the hands of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board consists of the Editor in Chief and Editorial Board members.  The Journal may also appoint editorial staff to serve as administrators, editors and copy editors, among others. The Editor in Chief provides overall leadership to the Editorial Board and all other stakeholders and officers of the journal as the chief executive officer.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editorial Board members have the following responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall leadership and drive the mission and vision of the journal
  2. Invite submission for articles through calls published from time to time
  3. Receive manuscripts from corresponding authors
  4. Assess submitted manuscripts for appropriateness and decide whether or not to send them for review
  5. Assign manuscripts to reviewers
  6. Manage the process of review to ensure timeliness, objectivity and fairness
  7. Make the final decision on whether to accept or reject a manuscript taking onto account the recommendations of reviewers
  8. Ensure all publications and the operations of the journal meet the required standards
  9. Appoint reviewers from time to time and maintain a database of qualified reviewers
  10. Any other connected or related tasks

Editorial Policy

This policy covers various aspects such as submission of manuscripts, form of publication of the journal, confidentiality, the management of the journal, intellectual property and ethical concerns of the journal, among others.
